ROLES: Digital Health Specialist, Creative Lead, Video Director/ Editor/ Producer

As the Digital Specialist with Sinai Health’s Communications Department I took on the task of celebrating the work of the Volunteer Department for 2108 National Volunteer Week. I created two short, heartfelt glimpses of the often unseen and uncelebrated work of the Sinai Health volunteers, one person from each of the two main hospital campuses, Mount Sinai Hospital and Bridgepoint Active Healthcare.

Maximizing Aging Using Volunteer Engagement (MAUVE) is a volunteer program at Mount Sinai Hospital that sees specially trained volunteers support older adult patients, particularly in mitigating the risks of the onset of delirium, a condition that can pose serious health risks. The program started on the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) unit and is now also in the Emergency Department.
